Chim,

Thank you for your kind words.

I did rehearse my opening lines a few times :-), but was quickly put at ease, Peters nephew shares many of his dearly departed uncles traits.

Well done chaps and especially MPI (as always).

When you think about it it's brave to phone someone who's (I'm sure) much loved relative has just died out of the blue and have to explain that a bunch of his hairy arsed football pals want to pay their respects to him.

Me and Joe discussed it and neither of us fancied it. We should have known MPI would step up to the plate so thanks mate.

Pete WAS a good egg, the kind of bloke you felt you could rely on and I hope that comes across to any of his family and non- West Ham pals who ever happen to read this.

A lovely man and a well respected poster who really should have posted on here more but like a lot of us ended up drifting on and of of this site.

As an example of the kind of bloke he was, when I found out about the series of small strokes that had led to him having his driving licence (and his living) taken away from him he was more concerned about saying he was on the mend and inviting me for a beer with him and some pals. Less than a week later he was gone.

Rest in peace Pete x

I have details of the Service location and Webcast from the family, who say everyone is most welcome to attend in person (You will need a head covering) or via the Webcast.

Charley has arranged the flowers.

Mods: Could we pin this and then reach out on WHO mail to append the post with the details?

Highly inappropriate Mad Dog.

I dread to think of what my WHObituary will be like, or who will be left to read it, or even if the site will still be here.
